When you contract with Aloha for your residential pool service, we perform our proprietary 100-point pool service inspection and inform you of anything we see that could help support you in keeping your pool low-maintenance and sparkling clean.

Each time Aloha is on site, a well-trained Aloha employee will enter your yard wearing an Aloha Pools uniform. They will then carefully go through each step of the cleaning and maintenance process.

 

During the pool service process, Aloha will take chemical readings using test strips or DPD testing, as appropriate. Aloha will record the base chemical readings so we know exactly where your chemicals are and what we need to do to bring your chemical signatures in line with the ideal range for each chemical we monitor weekly. Aloha employees will then take time to skim any leaves or other debris floating on the water’s surface.

 

Once this has been completed, Aloha will manually vacuum the pool at every visit, whether your pool is excessively dirty or even if it looks perfect. Aloha will vacuum all debris out of the pool so that when we have finished, you will have a clean and beautiful pool again. We may not be able to guarantee that no leaves will fall in before our next visit, but we can definitely ensure that when we leave the job site that the pool is in its best possible condition.

 

Aloha will then brush any surfaces in need of brushing. This may be the vertical walls or the floor of the pool if there is some debris that is sticking or if minute particles have built up. Aloha will also empty the skimmer and pump basket(s) to ensure that no chemical is unnecessarily used on debris during the coming week.

 

Once the vacuum and direct pool service has been completed, we will then inspect the state of the pool equipment. We will backwash the pool filter and monitor chlorinators, salt cells, heaters, pumps and timers or automation equipment. Aloha will then perform a visual inspection of the premises, noting any variances from expectation in and around the swimming pool and the equipment areas. This could include visible leaks, inoperable equipment, or components in need of repair or replacement.

 

Aloha will then use the initial chemical readings to diagnose and treat future chemical needs based on current chemical levels, weather patterns, temperature and individual pool features like spillovers, spas or infinity edges. Chlorine or salt and pH adjustment chemicals are always included in the flat-rate pricing for weekly or bi-weekly pool service. Aloha’s flat-rate pricing guarantees no more surprises on your monthly bill and we text you each week after we’ve completed your pool service so you know your pool is being properly cared for.

Finally, if our maintenance professionals note that any repairs are needed at your home, Aloha will contact you with information and pricing specific to the pool repair we recommend or which has become a necessity due to the nature of the equipment or specific situation. We will never perform a pool repair without prior consent and authorization from you as the homeowner. Our pool repair staff are equipped to perform all necessary repairs in-house. This includes replasters, tile work, concrete work including gunite and bond beam repair, vinyl liner replacements, vermiculite work (liner pools only), salt cell replacement and salt conversions, skimmer replacement, acid etching, pressure washing, deck refurbishing or replacement, filter replacement or refurbishing, leak detection, pump repair or replacement, heater repair or replacement, timer repair or replacement, pool automation and upgrades, pool light repair or replacement, pool inspections and many others.
